Why dry docking in Oceanaut

One thread from plan to close-out

Specifications go through reviewers and approval before they reach yards.

Yards you choose

Invite yards from your own list; only invited yards see the bid.

How it works

Dry docking in Oceanaut

The dry-docking module in Oceanaut takes a dry dock from first plan to warranty. You plan it with budget and dates, write the specification, generate the RFQ, open bidding to the yards you invite, compare their quotations, award, sign the contract and manage the work.

Shipyards take part through Oceanaut Dry Dock, their own portal, so both sides work on the same specification, the same bids and the same project.

01

Specifications with review and approval

Build the specification from tasks and clauses in a structured builder, assign reviewers and take it through review to approval. Specifications and RFQs export to PDF and Excel.

  • Structured tasks and clauses
  • Reviewer workflow and approval
  • PDF and Excel

02

Bidding you control

Schedule, open, extend, reschedule or cancel bidding. Each invited yard's status is tracked: interest expressed, quotation submitted, extension requested, declined, deadline missed, awarded and more.

  • Schedule, open, extend and cancel
  • Ten bidder statuses
  • Quotation history and timeline

03

Compare quotations job by job

See every yard's price for each job side by side, with the lowest and highest highlighted, convert to one currency, and export the comparison.

  • Line-by-line comparison
  • Lowest and highest highlighted
  • Currency conversion
  • Export

04

Award, contract and e-signature

Award or re-award the bid. Awarding creates the contract and the project, and the contract is signed electronically by both parties.

  • Award and re-award
  • Contract created on award
  • Electronic signature

05

The project workspace

Every specification job becomes a task on the project board, with stages through quality check and owner's approval. Drawings with revisions, change orders, invoices, daily to monthly progress reports, the closure report and warranty claims all live in the project, and every list exports to PDF and Excel.

Questions about dry docking

How do shipyards receive the specification?

Through Oceanaut Dry Dock, the shipyard portal. Yards you invite see the bid when it opens and submit itemised quotations there.

Can we compare yards on the same jobs?

Yes. Every yard quotes against the same specification jobs, and the comparison shows each yard's price per job with the lowest and highest highlighted.

What happens after we award?

Awarding creates the contract and the project. The contract is signed electronically, and each specification job becomes a task on the project board shared with the yard.
