For shipyards

Find dry-dock work.
Win it on the detail.

Get invited to shipowners' dry-dock bids, quote every job with material and labour, sign the contract online and run the project with the owner in one shared workspace.

How it works

From specification to close-out.

  1. 01

    Get verified, get invited

Sign up and our team verifies your yard. Shipowners add yards to their own list and invite them to bid; you see a project once its bidding opens to you.

  2. 02

    Quote job by job

Express interest, ask clarification questions, then price every specification job with material and labour cost before the deadline.

  3. 03

    Sign and deliver

If you are awarded, sign the contract online and run the job with the owner in a shared project: tasks, drawings, change orders, invoices and reports.

01

Invited bids with clear deadlines

Each invitation has a deadline to express interest and a deadline to submit, with time zones. Bidding opens and closes on schedule, and missed deadlines are flagged.

Need more time? Request an extension. Can't take the job? Decline with a reason, such as lack of docking space, so the owner knows why.

  • Interest and submission deadlines
  • Automatic open and close
  • Request an extension
  • Decline with a reason

02

Itemised quotations in your currency

Quote every specification job with its material cost, labour cost and a note, and the total is built for you. Quote in CAD, USD, EUR, GBP or INR; the exchange rate is saved when you submit.

  • Material and labour per job
  • Notes per job
  • Five quotation currencies
  • Rate saved at submission

03

Clarifications tied to the specification

Ask questions against the section of the specification they concern. The owner answers, and decides whether the answer goes to every bidder or only to you.

  • Questions per specification section
  • Owner replies to all bidders or privately
  • History kept with the bid

04

Award, contract and e-signature

When the owner awards your yard, the contract and the project are created automatically and every specification job becomes a task. The contract is signed online; if both sides agree, the contract step can be skipped.

  • Contract created on award
  • Electronic signature
  • Jobs become project tasks

05

A shared project workspace

Run the job with the owner on a task board with seven stages, including quality review and owner's approval. Keep drawings with revisions, raise change orders that add or remove scope with their cost and impact, send invoices, and share daily, weekly or monthly progress reports.

Starting, completing or terminating the project needs the other side's approval, and the close-out documents and warranty claims stay with the project.

  • Seven-stage task board
  • Drawings and revisions
  • Change orders and invoices
  • Progress and close-out reports
  • Warranty claims

06

In your language, with alerts that reach you

The yard portal works in English, Spanish, French and Chinese. Invitations, deadlines, questions and project updates reach you in the portal, by email and by push notification, and lists export to PDF and Excel.

For shipowners

Running a dry dock? Start in Oceanaut.

Plan the dry dock, write and approve the specification, invite yards, compare quotations job by job and award, all in Oceanaut's dry-docking module.

Dry docking for shipowners

Questions shipyards ask.

What is Oceanaut Dry Dock?

Oceanaut Dry Dock is the shipyard portal of Oceanaut, Albatross Marine's fleet management software. Shipowners invite yards to bid on their dry-dock specifications; yards submit itemised quotations and, if awarded, run the project with the owner on the same platform.

How does my yard get to see projects?

Shipowners invite yards from their own yard list. Once your yard is verified, you see each project you are invited to when its bidding opens.

Who can join?

Shipyards and ship repair yards that take on dry-docking and refit work. New yards are verified by our team before they can bid.

How are quotations structured?

Every specification job is priced with its material cost, labour cost and a note, in CAD, USD, EUR, GBP or INR. Owners see every yard's price for each job side by side.

Which languages does the yard portal support?

English, Spanish, French and Chinese.

I am a shipowner. Where do I start?

Dry docking is a module of Oceanaut. Plan the dry dock, write the specification and invite yards from there.
